The 16th Meeting of China-Iran Commercial Committee Held in Beijing

MOFCOM.  On August 16, the Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng hosted the 16th meeting of China-Iran commercial committee in Beijing with the minister of economy and commerce Tabuniya. The two sides exchanged suggestions on implementing the consensus reached by the leaders in commercial areas. They also exchanged ideas on broadening bilateral trade and investment, deepening the cooperation of energy, infrastructure, connection, finance and etc.

Gao Hucheng expressed that for a long time, the Chinese people keep friendship with Iran. Even in the hardest time of Iran, China has never changed the friendly partnership with it. Iran’s nuclear agreement has been fully executed since this January. The economic situation of Iran has been positively changed, which provides a better chance for the economic cooperation between China and Iran

Tabuniya expresses that the friendly cooperation between China and Iran is deeply rooted in the spirit of Silk Road and the mutual oriental value which is long-lasting and stable. Due to the support of leaders from the two countries, the relationship between two countries including trade has been improved enormously and continuously. In the new situation, Iran’s development room is broadened, Iran will take China-Iran relationship to a strategic level and its cooperation with China is of the first priority. The Iranian side would like to work with China together, promote the commercial cooperation between China and Iran for bigger progress.

After the meeting Gao Hucheng and Tabuniya signed the Summary of the 16th meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade and economic cooperation of China and Iran together.
