China, Emission standard of pollutants for caustic alkali and polyvinyl chloride industry

China boosts petrochemical sector developmentMEP. This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the laws and regulations including the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, and Marine Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, protecting the environment, preventing and controlling pollution, and promoting the advancement of the caustic alkali and polyvinyl chloride processes and pollution control technologies.

This standard is the amendment to the Emission standard of pollutants for caustic alkali and polyvinyl chloride industry (GB 15581-95). This standard specifies the limits, and monitoring and surveillance requirements of the water and air pollutants from the caustic alkali and polyvinyl chloride industry.

This standard sets special limits for water and air pollutants, in order to promote the balanced development of regional economy and environment, advance the adjustment of economic structure and the change of economic growth patterns, and set the course for the development of the processes and pollution control technologies of the caustic alkali and polyvinyl chloride industry.
